the Sunset Press.
The instruction cards refer to changes in Maritime law
and such being effective in the 1940's.

Flags, Morse Code Equivalents of words and numbers,
Phonetic Alphabet used by the Army and Navy (as adopted
in 1943), Distress Signals and Signals for the Control
of Merchant Vessels. |

Telegrapher's Pin: This is a 3/4" celluloid lapel stud or pin
with a drawing of telegraph sounder with laurel leaves around on the
front. The back is stamped Steiner St. Louis. They made pin back
buttons and other things beginning around 1905 until 1937 . The seller
dates this pin as c1905. |

A First Day of Issue Cancelled United States Post Office Stamp and
envelope. Addressed to Mr. Floyd Gersdorf, Marshalltown, Iowa.
Postmarked in Baltimore May 24, 1944, the day of issuance. Gift to
