2016 Buddies in the Caribbean Dxpediton
I participated in the Buddies in the Caribbean DXpedition on the Island of Saint Lucia from December 6, 2016 to December 12, 2016. The picture above is the view from our operating position at Chateau Devaux on the northeast tip of the Island.
We all used 100 watts or less and Buddipole antennas and operated on 160 - 6 meters on SSB, CW, PSK31 and JT65. We participated in the ARRL10 Meter Contest as J68HF. My call sign was J6/WJ1B and I made about 950 contacts.
I used my Icom 7000 transceiver with either my Asus laptop with LOGic9 or my iPad with Hamlog for logging. For the digital modes, I used Fldigi for PSK31 and WSJT-X for JT65 with a Signalink USB interface. I have uploaded all J6/WJ1B QSOs to Logbook of the World. Paper QSL cards are now available.
