WJ1B Station Equipment
Home Station:
My home station is located in Cheshire, Connecticut, New Haven County, Grid Square FN31nm. It consists of Icom 7610 transceiver, an Elecraft KAT500 Automatic Antenna Tuner, and an Elecraft KPA500 Amplifier. I also have a number of QRP rigs including an MFJ Cub and a 40-40.
I use Heil Audio microphones and headsets and a variety of paddles to send CW. My favorites paddle is the Begali Simplex. My paddle page
DXLab is my general logging software. For contest logging, I use N1MM+ Logger. I upload all of my logs to Logbook of the World. For the digital modes, I use Fldigi software for PSK-31, PSK-63, and RTTY and WSJT-X for FT4, FT8, and MSK144. I also use JTAlert with WSJT-X. The software runs on an HP PC with Windows 10 with dual monitors. Dimension 4 software keeps the PC clock calibrated.
